Fast forward 1 year and 50 events later and Upped´s clients had more event-related feature requests than we knew what to do with; so we interviewed as many event owners as we could to understand their pain points. And guess what? We were blown away by what these people could do with no divine intervention: imagine two part-time volunteers at a chamber of commerce who single-handedly planned, executed, and grew an event from 5,000 people to 100,000 over 20 years (using Google Docs, cash, and potentially carrier pigeons).
